Day 1: Arrival in Delhi

  • Arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi
    Welcome to India! Upon arrival at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, you’ll be warmly greeted by our representative in the arrival hall. Look for a placard bearing your name. Our team will assist you with luggage and guide you to your private coach or car.
  • Enjoy a comfortable transfer to your hotel. Upon arrival at the hotel, you’ll be assisted with check-in and given some time to relax and settle in after your flight.
  • Depending on your arrival time, you may choose to unwind at the hotel or explore the local surroundings at your own pace.
  • Overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 2: Explore Delhi

  • After breakfast, begin your Delhi city tour — the first chapter of your Luxury India Golden Triangle experience.
    Your day starts with a visit to Jama Masjid, India’s largest mosque, an architectural masterpiece built in the 17th century.
  • Next, dive into the chaos and charm of Old Delhi with a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk or choose to walk through its narrow, history-soaked lanes.
  • Stop by Khari Baoli, Asia’s largest spice market, where centuries-old trade traditions unfold before your eyes — sacks of turmeric, cardamom, and saffron moved by calloused hands in a rhythmic dance of commerce.

Day 3: Delhi-Agra (204 Kms/3.5 hrs)

  • After a delicious Indian breakfast, you’ll begin your drive to Agra. On arrival, check in to your hotel and settle into your room.
  • Later in the afternoon, visit Agra Fort – one of the grandest forts in India, rich in history and stunning Mughal architecture. Afterwards, head to Mehtab Bagh, the scenic garden across the Yamuna River that offers a perfect view of the Taj Mahal, especially around sunset.
  • Evening at leisure. This is also your first opportunity for shopping. You can choose to rent or purchase a traditional saree or kurta set to wear during your Taj Mahal visit, ideal if you’re planning to take some great photos the next morning (optional).
  • Return to your hotel early and rest up for tomorrow’s sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal.

Day 4: Explore Agra | Drive to Jaipur (237 km/ 5 hrs)

  • Wake up early for a sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal, when the soft morning light gives the marble monument an ethereal glow. Your guide will share the stories, history, and the lesser-known details, while also helping you find the best photo spots.
  • Return to the hotel for breakfast and a short rest.
  • Later, explore the imposing Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Wander through its grand courtyards, palaces, and halls, where emperors once ruled and history was made.
  • Afterward, begin your drive to Jaipur, the Pink City of Rajasthan.
  • En route, if time allows, stop at Abhaneri—home to the remarkable Chand Baori, one of the deepest and most intricate stepwells in India. A true architectural marvel tucked away in a small village.
  • Arrive in Jaipur by evening. Check into your hotel.
  • Evening at leisure.

 Day 5: Explore Jaipur, The Pink City

  • Today’s exploration of Jaipur begins with a photo stop at the iconic Hawa Mahal, also known as the Palace of Winds — a stunning five-story façade built for royal women to observe street life unseen.
  • Next, stop by the picturesque Panna Meena ka Kund, an 8th-century stepwell known for its geometric symmetry — perfect for photography enthusiasts.
  • Then, head up the hill to the majestic Amber Fort, where our expert guide will walk you through the rich legacy of Jaipur’s royal past, complete with stories of kings, queens, and ancient battles.
  • After lunch, continue to the City Palace, still home to Jaipur’s royal family, with its blend of Mughal and Rajasthani architecture, courtyards, museums, and artifacts.
  • You’ll also visit Jantar Mantar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an astonishing collection of astronomical instruments built in the 18th century — a place where science meets art and ancient intellect.

Day 6: Flight from Jaipur/Delhi to Varanasi

  • This morning after breakfast, you will be transferred to Jaipur Airport to board your flight to Varanasi.
  • If a direct flight from Jaipur isn’t available, we’ll drive to Delhi instead to catch the flight from there.
    Note: From mid-December to mid-January, it’s strongly recommended to fly out of Delhi due to fog-related delays in smaller airports. Delhi offers more flight options in case of cancellations or rescheduling.
  • On arrival in Varanasi, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 7: Explore Varanasi

  • Rise early and witness Varanasi come alive.
    Begin your day with a serene boat ride on the sacred Ganges as the first light of the sun bathes the ghats in gold. Watch the riverbanks turn into a living painting—pilgrims performing morning rituals, chanting prayers, offering flowers and water to the rising sun, and taking a holy dip in the river.
  • Return to the hotel for breakfast, then set out on an excursion to Sarnath—the revered site where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon on Dharma and Karma. Walk through the quiet grounds of the Deer Park and soak in the calm energy of this historical place.
  • In the evening, take a guided walk through the timeless alleys of Varanasi’s old city. Day 8: Varanasi-Delhi (Flight). Departure

  • On the last day of your tour, you will drive to Delhi. On arrival, you will be transferred to Delhi International Airport for an onward journey and finish the Golden Triangle Tour with the Varanasi tour with Indian Maharaja Tours.
